Good Amish Cookbooks

If you've read my blog for any length of time, you know that I love cookbooks. I read them from cover to cover, as though it was some exciting piece of fiction! LOL! I love the Gooseberry Patch Cookbooks, and I love old cookbooks, and I love new cookbooks, and I just love them all! :) But at the very tip top of my list of favorite cookbooks in the whole big wide world are Amish and Mennonite cookbooks.

Thanks to Angela at WVTreasures, I've found a wonderful website called The Best Amish Cookbooks that sells just that...the best Amish cookbooks! :) To me, their prices seem very reasonable.

Besides cookbooks, they also sell Amish dolls, Amish books, cookies, and jams/jellies. They have a monthly contest where you can win a different prize each month. This month's prize is a cookbook sampler called Homemade Cereals. It contains 70 different recipes that include granolas, grapenuts and cooked cereals. You can find their Monthly Contest HERE.

Just thought I'd pass along this website in case Amish cookbooks are at the top of your list, too. :)

I was at the Christian bookstore yesterday and spied an Amish cookbook. I thought of you when I did.

Happy 4th!

We have 2 former Amish families in our church ... they are WONDERFUL cooks! And if you read my blog, I recently met the extended family of one of them - and they had so many yummy things as well to eat! I need an Amish cookbook :)

Hey Lori!

Thank you so much for mentioning me in your blog! I'm so glad that you enjoyed the Amish post. They actually were selling the cookbooks in their bakery but I didn't look at them. Unfortunately, we had our eyes on all of the baked goodies.

God Bless!
